Come join the Madison Packer Backers cheer on the GBP vs Giants on Sunday 10/9/22 at the Essen Haus Restaurant & Bar (514 E Wilson St. Madison) Game starts at 8:30 A.M. .Should you want breakfast before the game the Come Back In Tavern (next door) will be open at 7:00 a.m. Essen Haus bar will be open at 8:00 a.m. and serving drink specials :

Bloody Mary’s and Mimosa (OJ and champagne)@ $4/each. Snacks will be available.

If we have enough people attending, we could have football pools, 50/50 and/or trivia questions for door prizes! Family and friends welcomed (No flyer will be mailed out)

All Madison Packer Backers members are cordially invited to our 2022 Annual Meeting and Brunch featuring our very special guest speaker, Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame member and 2022 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, LeRoy Butler!

Doors will open at 10:00am for registration and a cash bar will be available. Leroy Butler will be available at 10:30am with autographed copies of his hardcover book,
The LeRoy Butler Story, From Wheelchair to the Lambeau Leap ($50 autographed). The brunch buffet will open around 11:00am for dining, followed by our program. We’ll hear from our featured guest and have an opportunity to ask a few questions!

Our Annual Business Meeting will include the approval of the 2021 meeting minutes, a financial review and updates of club activities from the Board of Directors and Officers. As per our bylaws, biennial voting ballots will also be cast for our club officer positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer & Secretaries (Please see the newsletter for descriptions). The floor will be open for club members to ask questions and to give input and suggestions.

50/50 tickets will be available with the proceeds being raised for our annual club donation to the Rawhide Youth Services (formerly Rawhide Boy’s Ranch).

Members and non-members are welcome, but you must let us know if you’re planning to attend by returning the payment and the sign-up form that was included with the April newsletter. Madison Packer Backers Merchandise!

We now have gear available to order with the new MPB alternate logo. Items include polo shirts, T-shirts, hats, jackets, and duffel bags. Our (second) online store is currently open until October 25 with delivery scheduled around November 8. Here is the exclusive MPB member-only link to view and order club merchandise. The password to access the merchandise page is printed on the back of your membership card.

All Madison Packer Backers and their guests are invited to join us as the Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday, October 17th. We’ll return to Pitchers Pub (323 W Beltline Hwy, Madison) for this fun event to cheer on our favorite team. Forms and payment must be received by September 24th. The 2021 Hall of Fame Banquet is finally set for Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 after being postponed and rescheduled multiple times. Al Harris and Charles Woodson will be inducted this year. After a brief hiatus last year, we’re excited that we can resume our tradition of attending a Milwaukee Brewers game each year. We’ll go on Wednesday, July 21st to see them play the Kansas City Royals. Our Annual Club Meeting (required by our club bylaws) will include the approval of our 2020 meeting mailing, a club financial review and updates of club activities from the Board of Directors and Officers. (Note: there is no biennial voting this year for Club Officers). The floor will be open for club members to ask questions and to provide input and suggestions.

We will have a special drawing for all club members in attendance for a chance to win (2) bus & ticket packages for a 2021 preseason Packer game!!!
